Chaos Accursed Cultists Unboxing and Review – Warhammer 40k Chaos Space Marines

The Accursed have allowed themselves to be possessed by creatures from the realm of chaos, now barely human, these tormented creatures fight alongside the Cultist element of the armies of the Chaos Space Marines. Chaos Accursed Cultists are up for pre order today, and in this post we will be taking a look at the kit, unboxing them and showing you what they look like painted up!

Massive thanks to Games Workshop for sending us a free review copy to unbox and paint up for the site, if you would like to support the site then why not order yours through our affiliate Element Games and save yourself some money too?

I have also filmed a full unboxing video to accompany this post which you can see below or over on YouTube

So let’s check out the new kit!

The Accursed Cultists are the more gribbly possessed brethren of the standard Chaos Cultists, who have opened themselves up to the gifts of Daemonic possession!

Inside you get a 3 part sprue that builds the 3 miniatures. In this set you do not get any options to allow for multiple builds, so if you are running a larger squad you may want to do some small conversion work to ensure they all look different

Fully assembled and painted however the kits look glorious! Between these and the new Possessed I think they are the best models in the Chaos Space Marines range and are so much fun to paint up! The build is pretty easy with not many parts per model, and for the more Daemonic looking creatures I used a lot of contrast and glazing to paint them up pretty quickly – the different fleshy areas also give you a good excuse to try a lot of different skin tones and effects too, making them very fun to paint!

I highly recommend picking up a box to paint up, and I’ll certainly be adding to these myself as I really enjoyed the utter wrongness of these models!

The Accursed Cultists are up for pre order today and are released Saturday 3rd September
