Age of Darkness Reference Cards Unboxing – Warhammer The Horus Heresy

With the Age of Darkness set recently released, lots of people are learning how to play the new edition of Warhammer The Horus Heresy. But there’s a lot to remember such as Reactions, Warlord Traits and Psychic Powers! The Age of Darkness Reference Cards, up for pre order today, help you keep track of all this! In this post we will be looking at everything that comes in the set!

Massive thanks to Games Workshop for sending us a free review copy to check out – If you would like to support the site then why not get yours through our affiliate Element Games and save yourself 20% too?

We also have a full companion Video showing off the set which can be seen below or over on YouTube

So what’s in the set?

The box contains 24 cards featuring the rules for Core Reactions, Advanced Reactions, Warlord Traits. Psychic Weapons and Psychic powers

While far from an essential set, I personally find cards such as these really useful for remembering key things during games of Warhammer The Horus Heresy. I’d really like to see something like this (Or perhaps a paperback volume) covering all the Universal Special Rules – as that area of the book is heavily thumbed when looking up rules!

Arguably this has more value if you have Psychers in your force, as more than half the cards are regarding their abilities, but I still think this is worth picking up for reminders of when your reactions trigger

The Age of Darkness Reference Cards go up for pre order today and are released Saturday 17th September

Games Workshop provided Sprues & Brews with a free copy for review purposes.
