At one time noble Space Marines of the Legiones Astartes, the Possessed are now a corrupt and cursed shadow of what they once were. Having given over their bodies to Daemons from the warp, they are now merely puppets being controlled by beings from the beyond.

The Chaos Space Marine Possessed are up for pre order today, and in this post we will be checking out the new kit and seeing what they look like when fully assembled and painted!

So let’s take a look at the new kit and what they look like when complete!

Delayed a little bit behind the main Chaos Space Marine releases, the Possessed are a kit that a lot of people have been looking forward to since the new Codex was released

The wait has been worth it however and they do not disappoint! The box contains two sprues which build 5 models, and alternate heads and features are included so that you can have 10 different looking models in a unit of 10 (Or if you run multiple squads).

Assembled and painted these guys are stunning and are a really eye catching unit on the battlefield in all their brutal and mutated glory! I had a brilliant time painting these guys up and I’m already eager to paint up some more!

These guys are actually the same size as the old Greater Possessed from the previous Start Collecting box, so if you already have a couple of those then these will fit in perfectly alongside them! I suspect the old smaller possessed would look a little strange with them forever, so personally I’d just stick to the new ones, as the previous small possessed are a little dated now!

I also feel these will make excellent Gal Vorbak for games of Warhammer The Horus Heresy, again being a very similar size to the resin ones from Forge World!

Games Workshop have done an amazing job with the recent Chaos Space Marine releases, and I can’t wait to add some more to my Word Bearers!
