It only feels like yesterday that the Kill Team Octarius hit the shelves and now we are already getting an expansion in the form of Kill Team Chalnath, set in the Imperium Nihilus, where the forces of the Adepta Sororitas fight against the Tau Empire, both of which get a whole host of new models.

For the Adepta Sororitas we have the new Novitiates, which are battle sisters in training who are willing to purge any xenos in their way in order to advance into sisterhood.

For the Tau we get a new pathfinder kit that is the current kit with a new upgrade sprue included, this is extremely interesting as they have added an upgrade sprue before with the Chadian shock troopers, is this something we could see more of going forward, I think that’s a safe bet.

Inside the box we get a new sourcebook that includes new scenarios, covering things like broadcasting propaganda to launching missile strikes, sounds pretty cool. The book also contains expanded rules for both squads in the box, with new ploys and battle honours for both of the new kill teams.

Starter Set

Along with these amazing new models we also get a brand new starter set for Kill Team, where Kill Team Octarius was a launch the new starter set is as far as we can tell here to stay, still featuring the Kommandos Orks and the Death Korps of Krieg, barricades and a two sided gaming board.

The set also contains a Recruit Edition booklet ( 56-page how-to-play guide including a series of tutorial missions aimed at brand new players).

The Ork Kommandos and Death Korps of Krieg sets will also be sold separately later this year when the starter set launches, it’s worth mentioning that these sets contain upgrade sprues to make all of the different operatives.
