New Lumineth Battletome, Soulblight Gravelords Teased, Cursed City Unboxed and the Return of Be’lakor?

Well I don’t know about you guys, but I’m still trying to get over the massive Lords of the Mortal Realms preview from Warhammer Community!

For a change of pace this preview was just focussed on The Mortal Realms in the form on Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Warhammer Underworlds and Warhammer Quest Cursed City – and we may have had the largest number of new model reveals within a single show!

First up was a massive preview of a whole host of new Lumineth Realm-Lords models!

Some absolutely amazing stuff here including a new hero to lead your armies with an basally stunning model!

Or how about one of the best looking Age of Sigmar scenery kits with the Shrine Luminor?

This looks to be an enormous wave of models, the kind of thing that would normally accompany a new battletome! Now they only recently had one, they can’t be getting another one so soon can they?…

Er, well yeah, they are! Now, the WarCom article points out if you already have the old book then all the new Warscrolls will be in the upcoming Broken Realms Teclis book, which I suspect will be out in the run-up to this new Battletome. I’d also guess that there will be other new goodies in this book, so may still be worth picking up if you have the previous one.

It also looks like we will be getting some other new characters alongside the Broken Realms book for the Nighthaunt and the Stormcast!

First up is the Krulghast Cruciator, who looks like nightmare given form! I’m going to guess this isn’t a particularly nice chap…

And for Stormcast…

Stormcast – Check. Super Hero pose – Check. Lightning infused hammer – Always!

This guy looks amazing and I really want to paint one up! Gardus Steel Soul is his name, and I’m sure he is about to get work done for Sigmar!

It’s been a while since the Undead got an update from the Legions of Nagash book, but it seems we have a new model for the upcoming new Soulblight Gravelords faction! The Wight King!

I speculated here that we may well see a reimagined Vampire Counts army with a mass of undead led by a couple of powerful Vampires, and this certainly suggests that this may be the case! It’s a stunning model and looks like a big chap too!

For Warhammer Underworlds we saw the Mad Mob revealed in all their glory! A Savage Orruk warband led by a suitably mad shamen!

Interestingly, Games Workshop are also putting out a new Warhammer underworlds stater set at a low price point for an accessible way into the game! It also features two new warbands by using some existing Easy to Build kits released alongside Soul Wars!

The most exciting reveal however had to be that of Warhammer Quest Cursed City and out first look at all the contents!

Wow, just wow – I think these are probably some of the best models games Workshop have put out and I can’t wait to be able to play through the game! Looking at the contents it seems a lot of ideas and concepts from the previous Warhammer Quest games have been brought forwards to this one, and now we have seen the full game it cant be too long until it is available to buy!

Interestingly it contains Warscrolls for all the contents, and I really hope the adversaries have the Soulblight Gravelords keyword…

And then the show closed with a tease for the Mortal Realms book after Teclis with a little trailer for Be’lakor…

Now, this is very interesting as it changes some of the things I had assumed in the Broken Realms storyline so far – Could it be Be’lakor who saved the Stormcast at the end of Broken Realms Morathi? Could it be Be’Lakor who brokered the deal with the Skaven to assassinate Nagash? Interesting times indeed, and perhaps expanded rules for taking mixed Daemon armies too!

So what did you think of the show? What are your favourite models shown? Let us know!
