Today’s Forge World pre order – Throin Oakenshield and Azog

Hot on the tail of an early release at the Open Day last weekend, the next Middle Earth Character Series set is up for pre order on Forge World today featuring Thorin Oakenshield battling Azog!

At the height of the Battle of Five Armies, Thorin Oakenshield, the newly crowned King Under the Mountain, faced Azog, leader of the Orcish horde that threatened his home, in single combat. On a shifting ice floe, they battled for the fate of Erebor and Lake-town – and for vengeance. The outcome of this duel would decide the future of the Lonely Mountain… The latest release from the Middle-earth Character Series recreates this epic conflict between two mighty heroes. In this resin set you will find miniatures of Thorin Oakenshield and Azog as they appeared during the Battle of Five Armies. Thorin stands at guard, preparing for his opponent’s deadly assault. Azog is swinging his great stone flail around, ready to smash it down on the Dwarf. They stand atop a sheet of smashed ice, perfectly representing the scene from the movie The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies™.

Both models can be removed from the scenic base for use in your games of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, and each has the option of being assembled with an alternative weapon – a mace for Azog and a sword for Thorin.

Rules for both Thorin Oakenshield and Azog can be found in the Armies of The Hobbit™ sourcebook.

This kit is supplied in 12 resin components – five parts making up Azog, five to construct Thorin Oakenshield and two for the scenic base. It also includes 2 25mm round bases and a 90mm oval base. The kit is supplied in a Middle-earth Character Series presentation box.
