It is time for September’s hobby goal update which I am happy to say has been pretty productive in terms of hobby goals which you can see below.

Following on from last month I managed to finish building 1,000 points of Nords for Conquest the last Argument of Kings which I am very excited to play as I have been building up to a game for a very long time and I really like the game mechanics as they are extremely different to other tabletop games I have played, once I’ve had a game that will also tick off the hobby goal to play three game systems I have never played before.

On the painting desk in September were some more Tomb Kings, I set out to paint sixteen skeleton archers and ended up painting twenty archers, a tomb prince / king and a mortuary priest / high priest with another twelve archers being out 80% done. I am getting closer to that 2,000 point mark but still a ways off, my aim is to get either a necrosphinx or a war sphinx done for next month which will really start to make a dent into a 2,000 point list that I am confident I can do before the end of the year…

I didn’t manage to paint any more MCP (Marvel Crisis Protocol) characters as I was enjoying painting the tomb kings too much but I feel an MCP marathon might be in order to get the seven characters done.

This year has been an event deprived year for me as I have only just been to my second event this year and normally I would have been to at least four or five by September but due to the increased popularity of Warhammer world events and recent lack of motivation I just haven’t had the urge to go to any events. On the 29th of September I did go to the first event of hopefully many events called the Triple C event in memory of our friend that recently passed away which on this occasion was an Age of Sigmar one day event, I plan on doing a separate article to cover that event but needless to say I really enjoyed the day as it really reminded me of why I love this hobby soo much, this was my second event of four and I only have one more event planned this year so it might be difficult to complete that hobby goal.

At the event I also did not voluntarily take the double turn in all three games one of which was against fellow Sprues and Brews host Matt so just one more game of AOS and that goal ( INSERT EMPEROR PALPATINE’S VOICE HERE) will be complete.

Moving into October my aim is to paint at least a couple of characters for MCP and the majority of the shatterpoint core set as they should be relatively nice to do, so my aims for October are =

• Paint 2 characters for MCP.
• Paint the majority of the Star Wars shatterpoint core set.
• Paint another unit for Tomb Kings.
• Start building models for the Middle Earth hobby goal.

I am being very optimistic with the amount of painting I want to get done in October but I am feeling that hobby mojo is at an all time high at the moment and I plan on staying on that train for as long as I can, I am also really excited for the new edition of Kill Team so if I get the time to play a game or paint up a new team I might have to lets see how I get on.
