Plastic Leviathan Siege Dreadnought With Ranged Weapons Unboxing – The Horus Heresy

Fans of The Horus Heresy rejoice as you can now buy a brand new plastic Leviathan Dreadnought with ranged weapons to add to your heresy armies, whether you arm yours with the cyclonic melta lance, grav – flux bombard or the leviathan storm cannon it is sure to cause your opponents some concern on the table top.

In todays review we will take a look at the new kit.

Massive thanks to Games Workshop who sent us a free review copy to unbox and build up for the site! If you would like to support the site then why not order your Leviathan through our affiliate Element Games and save yourself some money too!

You can watch the review below or Youtube.

This kit contains the options for a single cyclonic melta lance, grav – flux bombard and leviathan storm cannon with the additional parts to add a twin linked volkite caliver or two heavy flamers (all of the options are only included once so if you want multiples you will need to buy another kit or the ranged weapons upgrade pack separately ).

The frames are the same as the close combat variant, you get one sprue for the legs, two for the body/arms and then another for the weapons.

The kit did take a lot of time to build over several evenings but it went together really nicely, the only part that I had to be really careful on was the legs, getting them to dry in the correct position did require some effort but overall it was a very relaxing kit to build.

For the Horus Heresy I am planning on doing Iron Warriors which I have wanted to do since I got into the hobby roughly 20 years ago (aka the best legion ….. well better than Imperial Fists at least), this is the first but certainly not the last Leviathan Dreadnought I will be adding to the collection.

The Leviathan Siege Dreadnought with range weapons is up for preorder today and will be released on the 20th August.

Games Workshop sent Sprues & Brews a free copy for review purposes.
