Fabius Bile: New Teaser for War of the Spider

Today on Warhammer Community we have seen a brand new teaser trailer for the story within the upcoming Psychic Awakening book, The War of the Spider.

Fabius Bile is back, but what exactly is he up too? Seems that something has his attention on the planet formerly known as Cadia. He also clearly has made enemies within other Chaos factions too, as the Death Guard are also after him.

We know from the Warhammer Preview a few weeks back that Fabius can be taken with his own faction/detachments, and that the book would also include the Adeptus Custodes/Sisters of Silence and the Death Guard.

This new trailer seems to hint that he’s creating something… I’ll throw a spoiler alert in here in case you haven’t seen the trailer yet, which can be viewed here.

Warning given.

Still here?

OK…

Within this trailer we see what looks to be a larger Chaos Marine, or at least something very chaos-y in the background.

Over on the podcast we’ve often discussed that eventually Chaos Marines may get the Primaris sized treatment, could this be the start of that process? Or could he be creating a new Chaos unit?

What is even more interesting is this image from the trailer:

He’s clearly messing about with a long deceased Custodian there! What are you up too Mr Bile?!

Whilst the stories within the Psychic Awakening series have been limited to conflicts dotted about the galaxy, without touching upon the broader story of Warhammer 40,000 in its current state, I’ve said for a while that I think Fabius, and whatever he is cooking up, is going to have far bigger consequences on the main story as we head closer towards 9th Edition.

I could of course, be talking nonsense, but I strongly think The War of the Spider book is going to hint at much bigger things to come for 40k.

What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments or via social media?
