Blackstone Fortress: Preorder Next Week!
We need a new dial, because turning the hype up for the latest boxed game from Games Workshop needs to be turned way past 11.
Blackstone Fortress has been teased all week, and today over on Warhammer Community they’ve officially announced that next Saturday it’ll be up for preorder. It’ll be a two week preorder with the game coming out on Black Friday, 23rd November.
So what exactly is in this big box of stuff? Well…
Every single miniature in this box is brand new. No old sculpts, just brand spanking new models. Not only this, but we are seeing models from factions we’ve never seen before.
Let us begin with the Explorers. A real rag tag band of heroes. From a Rogue Trader to a mech, a Navigator to a pair of Ratlings!
And then you have all of the enemies you’ll be fighting.
Dark Mechanicus! Chaos Beasts! Traitor Guard! Xenos..alien…robot…things! And let us now forget brand new Chaos Space Marines!
This game promises to mix the mechanics we saw in the last two Warhammer Quest games, as well as having the intense corridor gameplay from Space Hulk, all set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
There are so many new tokens and such we haven’t seen before in the previous games. We can’t wait to find out what they all do and mean!
You can play the game solo, or up to 5 players, battling your way through the Blackstone Fortress.
I had to copy and paste the following paragraph…
Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress is the basis for a brand-new series that’ll expand your game and allow you to continue your adventures. Future expansions will contain new battles to fight, enemies to conquer and champions to choose from. You can buy Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress in the confidence that the game will be supported for a long, long time to come.
Think of the avenues this could go down…
Warhammer 40,000 Datasheets
To top this all off, every model in the box will have it’s own datasheet. Fancy throwing some Traitor Guard in with your Chaos force? Go on then. Want to add a new angry Zealot to your Sisters of Battle? Knock yourself out…
We cannot wait for this release, and expect plenty more posts on the game when we find out more about the actual mechanics of the game.
